Today we would like to introduce you to the TOP COVID Kit, a kit with natural aroma discs, 100% vegetable, destined for olfactory training in patients with olfactory dysfunction, including COVID-19 patients. Developed by Universidade de Aveiro researchers, in partnership with SOGRAPE, the effectiveness of this kit will now be evaluated through a clinical trial in collaboration with the Emo|Senses Lab and the Centro Hospitalar do Baixo Vouga.
It should be noted that olfaction disorders have a direct impact on the quality of life of individuals and can lead to depression, cognitive changes, loss of pleasure when eating or during social interactions, and, in more severe cases, even early death!
