Fábio Silva was a PhD student at the Department of Education and Psychology at the University of Aveiro, under an FCT scholarship (SFRH/BD/145911/2019). Fábio completed his PhD in 2024.
His research interests focus on anxiety and how this emotional state alters key visual mechanisms. In particular, he investigates how anticipatory anxiety interferes with visual prediction mechanisms and how these changes are reflected in difficulties in perceiving and attributing meaning to social situations.
Fábio Silva completed his degree in Psychology in 2015 at the University of Aveiro and his master's degree in Neuropsychology in 2018 at the Catholic University of Portugal. From 2018 to 2019, he worked as a research assistant at ISPA-Instituto Universitário.
